Halloween is right around the corner in San Diego and we have a week full of fun activities the whole family can enjoy together. From haunted ship tours to creepy, crawly critters, we promise this October is going to be boo-tiful! If you haven’t taken a tour of the Star of India before, October is the perfect time to check it out! The Haunted Tales of the Ship promises fun for the entire family! Bring the kiddos dressed in costume to enjoy a lantern-led tour around the ship. You will hear spooky legends from the ship’s past where many real-life encounters with ghosts have taken place. With longer days and warmer weather, we have some great suggestions on how to enjoy your week; from film festivals to St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, and some free family art fun, this week is sure to be a busy one! The 18th annual San Diego Latino Film Festival is happening now through Saturday, March 20th in San Diego. It features 185 documentaries, feature films, animations and shorts - as well as parties, talks with he filmmakers, and more. The festival is being held at UltraStar Mission Valley Cinemas and tickets are still available for purchase. A by-women, for-women film festival, LUNAFEST is coming to Carlsbad for one night only on Feb 1, 2011 at the La Costa Resort & Spa.
