Summer must be here, because this week’s events are all about laughter, outdoor fun, and good beer! Check out our suggestions below:
This Friday, June 17th, catch Dana Carvey performing comedy for one night only at Sycuan Casino. What is your favorite Carvey bit? Is it his prissy “Church Lady” or “Grumpy Old Man”? Maybe it’s his impersonations of Bob Dylan, George Bush and so many others? Or is it the heavy-metal fan, Garth Algar, of Wayne’s World? Regardless of which skit is your favorite, we’re sure Dana will tickle your funny bone one way or another this Friday. The show starts at 8pm and ticket prices range from $45-$55; you can buy them here.
Going on now through Monday, July 4th, is the San Diego County Fair. Enjoy eating your fill of chocolate-covered bacon and deep fried goodies, riding the carnival rides, and scoping out all the livestock and fun exhibits. The theme this year is “Race To The Fair”, so you can be sure there will be tons of hot cars on display as well. Ticket prices range from $13 for adults, to free for kids under 5. You can buy tickets online and get more info on discounts and coupons as well.
Monday, June 20th, is the CityBeat Beer Club 3rd Year Anniversary at Blind Lady Ale House. This anniversary party will include two flights of six 5 ounce tasters, or four regular beers, and a buffet of Blind Lady Pizzas. The event is exclusively for CityBeat Beer Club members and costs $35, so join the club here. They are expected to sell out, so don’t delay; buy your tickets here. The event will run from 7-11pm.
